Coulson Aviation and Coulson Aviation Australia team members have been supporting flood impacted communities in New South Wales after torrential rain.
New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) personnel are working alongside NSW SES and other agencies to support communities that are cut off by the flood water. A NSW RFS-owned Bell 412 with Coulson Aviation Australia team members on board has been conducting rescues as the flood water reached incredible heights, particularly in and around Lismore. These rescues take skill and care of community members.
NSW RFS has also offered the assistance of the Sydney-based Coulson Aviation-owned Chinook.
With its tank removed, this very large helitanker can assist with heavy lift capability of essential supplies and equipment in support of emergency services ground personnel. Contracted for aerial firefighting in NSW for the summer, this shows the versatility of the Chinook and the team members.
