New South Wales Minister for Emergency Services David Elliott, Wendy Lindsay, MP Member for East Hills, and NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Rob Rogers visited the Coulson Aviation Australia Bankstown offices and hangars last week.
Coulson Aviation Australia CEO Chris Smallhorn said it was an opportunity to highlight the work of the team in operating the NSW-owned 737 FIRELINER ‘Marie Bashir’, Citations and Bell 412 helicopters as well as the support to firefighters across Australia with the Coulson-owned FIRELINER, C-130s and Sikorsky water bombing helicopters on contract in Western Australia, NSW and Victoria.
The three large air tankers have most recently been working together in Western Australia.

Coulson Aviation Australia has been able to develop around 35 Australian direct jobs through its two Sydney bases, as well as benefiting from the aerial firefighting expertise and knowledge of the pilots, maintenance crews and engineers from across the world currently working in Australia.
